Description/Details: Each of the eight colored ink cakes or inksticks from this antique Chinese Scholar’s set has a unique detailed carved and gilded scene from everyday life on one side and poetry on the other. The length of the ink cakes range from 6.5 to 8 cm, the width of the ink cakes range from 2.9 to 4.4 cm, and they are 1 cm thick. The ink cake set is stored in a fabric covered box with wooden fasteners and Chinese writing on top. This set would make a stunning display piece.
